Make perfect veggie burgers: Mix 1 cup dry oatmeal, 1/2 cup grated onion, 1/8 cup finely chopped sweet red and green peppers, 1/4 cup grated cheese, 1/2 cup grated carrot, 1/2 cup soy sauce, and 2 Tb. of this culinary herb blend. Pour 1/2 cup hot water over the mixture and let stand 10 minutes. Stir in 1 beaten egg and mix well. Form 1/4 inch thick patties and coat patties with 1/2 cup bread crumbs. Heat 4 Tb. olive oil and saute patties quickly about 2 minutes each side until golden brown. Drain on a paper towel. Serve on a roll with lettuce, tomato, and mayonnaise. Garnish with fresh spearmint leaves, if desired.Ingredients: Sundried Tomato, Cilantro, Garlic, Onion, Basil, Mustard Powder, Cayenne Pepper. |
