Lambs & Thyme began literally on the kitchen table in Richmond, NH where Judith Graves (first
owner)started putting blends together with extra herbs and having family and friends taste and
test her time-honored recipes. Then with loads of encouragement, the business began with
our first blend called Sunday Fried Chicken, a blend now found in our Cottage Culinary
Collection’s, Country Chicken. Our first catalog was out in 1989. After many changes throughout
the last several years, our current line contains just over 100 products including Herb Dip
blends, Healthy Dips, Holiday Dips, Salad Dressing/Bread Dips, a Culinary Collection, a
Grilling & Rubbing Herb Collection, Bagel Spreads, Desserts & Baking items, Cheese Balls
w/Spreaders, Cookie Spices w/ Cookie Cutters, Pie Spices w/ Cutters, Teas & accessories,
Popping Cobs, along with Cookbooks written by Judith. Our number one selling dip is our
“Outrageous Pumpkin Dessert Dip”.
In December of 2008, Judith decided it was time to retire, and handed over Lambs & Thyme to
her long time friend and employee who managed the business for the past 9+ years: Lisa
Godard (current owner) of Northfield, MA. Lisa knows not to mess with success and has kept
everything much the same except now Lambs & Thyme products are shipped from
Massachusetts, while retaining the "Made in New England" theme!
Selling to upscale boutiques and specialty gift shops and country stores across the U.S., our
circle style packaging has become the favorite as it is so easy to use as a box topper or hand
out gift, or to slip into gift cards, gift baskets (or by using the attached gold bow, to hang about
the neck of a nice bottle of wine, balsamic vinegar or extra virgin olive oil). The packaging
features a variety of watercolor artwork, exclusively drawn by Martha Haskins— a different art
theme for each flavor making your gift unique. The circle style packaging protects the blends
from the light, yet the resealable bag of blend is visible from the sides so that the customer can
see the quality of the herbs they are buying. And each package is individually hand packed to
insure the proper amounts of each herb or spice go into every package.
Excellence in taste is our aim; we do not add fillers or sugars in our blends. In fact, very few of
our blends contain salt. We go the extra mile to obtain domestic and all-natural ingredients
where ever possible. We’re always going around in circles: we bring out new products every
year; always have a quarterly sale available for shop owners along with printable
merchandising helps, and Judith’s cookbooks can be copied to offer additional ideas and
more recipes to use our blends.
